Forty-Five years ago, my Great Grandfather’s flag went missing. No one seemed to have any idea where it went. But when my great uncle passed away, while cleaning out his house, we found the flag. We began to discuss what we should do with this flag, and I came to the conclusion that I wanted to display it. So I built a frame.
When I started building it, quite frankly, I was just building a frame. But as I continued, it started to take on a life of its own, and I started to feel a connection with my great grandfather that I had never felt before.
Sometimes woodworking projects don’t need to be complex to be special. Sometimes, it’s more about the story behind the project.
